ERA Convention “New Opportunities for Rental”
The next annual convention of the ERA will take place on 26 and 27 May 2010 in Prague, Czech Republic. The event will start around 14.00 on 26 May and end around 17.30 on 27 May.
The theme of this year's convention is "New Opportunities for Rental". Keynote speakers will address the convention on the latest data available on construction equipment, on the ultimate Top 50 of the European rental industry and on sustainable growth for the industry. Roundtables will notably focus on a dedicated product group as well as on rental in Eastern and Central Europe.
In the evening of 26 May, the third edition of the European Rental Awards dinner will take place. Entries for the European Rental Awards can be submitted until 26 March 2010.
As in 2009, registration packages will be proposed, which will include accommodation in Hotel Corinthia and participation to the European Rental Awards dinner.

REGISTRATION
Different registration packages have been drafted for ERA Members and non-Members, the most comprehensive of which includes accommodation in Hotel Corinthia and participation to the European Rental Awards dinner.
As in previous years, participation to the
convention only is free of charge for ERA Members and Members of national rental associations. You can check whether your association / company is an ERA Member
here. Sponsors and Exhibitors benefit from the ERA Member rate as well.

- Full Convention Package: includes participation to the Convention, European Rental Awards Dinner on 26 May and one hotel night in Hotel Corinthia where the Convention takes place (from 26 to 27 May, one superior room, singly occupancy, including breakfast);
- Convention and European Rental Awards Dinner package: includes participation to the European Rental Awards dinner on 26 May and to the Convention;
Other Registration items:
- Extra Hotel Nights: It is possible to book hotel nights in Hotel Corinthia at the preferential rate negotiated by the ERA between 23 and 30 May 2010. The rate indicated is for a Superior room, singly occupancy and includes breakfast.
- Double Room Occupancy: An additional fee of 30 EUR per night applies for double room occupancy. Breakfast is included in this rate.

EUROPEAN RENTAL AWARDS 2010
The European Rental Awards dinner 2010, organized in partnership by the European Rental Association and International Rental News with the support of our Gold Sponsor, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, and Silver Sponsor, Hewden, will take place in the evening of 26 May in Prague, in the framework of the ERA Convention.

As in 2009, entries can be submitted in 4 categories:
- Rental Company of the Year (10 depots or more)
- Rental Company of the Year (under 10 depots)
- Rental Product of the Year (launched during 2009)
- Rental Person of the Year
Taking part in the European Rental Awards is a unique opportunity for rental companies and suppliers to the rental industry to show their expertise, as all the achievements of all shortlisted companies will be presented at the convention and will benefit from extensive media coverage in the ERA's publications and in International Rental News.
Entries have to be submitted before 26 March 2010, using the appropriate submission form. More information on the Awards and submissions is available here.
Winners and shortlisted companies of the 2009 European Rental Awards were:
- LIPAC LIFTAR, in the category “Rental Company of the Year (under 10 depots)”. Shortlisted companies were: Cofiloc, Destination Bulgaria and Hoyde Service.
- Aggreko in the category “Rental Company of the Year (10 depots or more)”. Shortlisted companies were A-Plant and Maltus.
- Haulotte Group in the category “Rental Product of the Year (launched during 2009)” for the H28TJ aerial.Shortlisted products were: Dustcontrol’s Aircube Cleaner, Hitachi for the ZX14-3 mini-excavator and Niftylift’s bi-energy Height Rider 21.
- Mr Mendes Migotto (Gruppo Venpa3) in the category “Rental Person of the Year”. Shortlisted persons were: Mr Pierre Boels Jr (Boels Verhuur) and Mr Erkki Norvio (Ramirent).
- The Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Mr George Burnett, former CEO and co-founder of Ashtead Group.

What sponsorships are available?
- Participation to our table-top exhibition from 2,500 EUR
A table-top exhibition will be organized in the areas where the social events of the convention (cocktails, coffee breaks and lunch of 27 May) will take place. The ERA provides the space to exhibitors, together with basic furniture (1 table and 2 chairs) and one 220V electricity plug. Spaces will be allocated on a first come - first served basis as from 1 March 2010.

How to book a sponsorship?
Bookings are made simply by completing the
Sponsorship Booking Form and sending it back to the ERA Secretariat. Please note that space is reserved and sponsorships confirmed
only after payment has been received. The general terms and conditions applying to the exhibition and sponsorship are attached to the booking form. All sponsors and exhibitors are requested to read and accept them.

The Corinthia Towers Hotel is only short distance away from the city centre of Prague, and a landmark in itself, standing atop one of Prague’s seven hills and offering outstanding views of the capital city. The Hotel is two ‘metro’ stops away from the city centre and a short driving distance from a main highway. The distance from the aiport is 20 KM.
The ERA has made a room block in the hotel for the Convention. You can make your hotel booking when registering for the Convention.
