Do you know the Global Rental Alliance?
The Global Rental Alliance was formed in 2003 as an informal group of rental associations, between the American Rental Association (ARA), the Hire Association Europe (HAE) of the UK, the Hire and Rental Industry Association of Australia (HRIA), the Hire Industry Association of New Zealand (HIANZ) and the Canadian Rental Association (CRA). The European Rental Association (ERA) and DLR from France joined the Alliance in 2007.
The goal of The Global Rental Alliance is to increase the profile of equipment rental worldwide and to allow local rental associations to share information on issues of specific interest to them, such as overall trends in the industry and transnational issues (for example equipment theft and sustainability).
The Global Rental Alliance is also cooperating with the ARA Foundation’s International Exchange Program to allow professionals of the rental industry to learn about the industry and about how business is done in other countries. The first exchanges have been taking place over the past months and have received a very positive feedback from both the trainees and the receiving companies.
